Тhe Danish Embassy in Kyiv is looking for a new Driver
Are you and experienced driver and would like to work in an international environment? Then you might be our new driver.
The Embassy of Denmark is now hiring an experienced and service-minded driver on a one-year contract with possibility of prolongation.
You will be part of the Embassy’s Security Team and will work closely with all teams of the embassy, providing a great opportunity to work in an international environment and to contribute to the activities of a busy Embassy.
The working language of the Embassy is English.
You will be working physically at the Embassy of Denmark in the centre of Kyiv. We offer a friendly and respectful working environment and a competitive salary package according to qualifications.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Provide professional driving services for diplomatic staff and visiting delegations, ensuring punctual and secure transportation.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of the Embassy’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
• Procure essential equipment, supplies, and materials needed for the smooth operation of the Embassy.
• Handle the delivery of official letters, documents, and correspondence, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
• Perform additional transportation-related duties as required to support Embassy activities.
• Liaise with government and municipal institutions (e.g., Customs, vehicle registration, obtaining necessary permits or documents) to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Carry out minor repair and maintenance tasks at the Embassy office and residences to maintain functionality and safety.
• Manage daily routine purchases for the Embassy, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of essential items.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by Embassy management in support of its operations.
Professional qualifications:
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Valid driving license (category C)
• Excellent driving skills
• At least 5 years of driving experience
• Good command of English
• Clear of criminal and traffic accident records
• Knowledge of technical maintenance of vehicles
• Strong knowledge of Kyiv city and the other areas of Ukraine
• Available occasionally to work odd hours and during weekends
Personal qualifications:
• Professional, always on time and service-minded
• Highly skilled and experienced in driving safely and comfortably in all conditions
• Responsible, trustworthy, flexible and a good team player
• Very high degree of safety awareness
• Pragmatic and positive attitude.
Desirable requirements/skills:
• Knowledge and experience of driving armoured vehicles
• Experience from working abroad and/or in international organisations or embassies will be an advantage
The applicant should be eligible for working in Ukraine.
Starting date:
May 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. Employment requires Danish security clearance.
